"Through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the mission of New Braunfels Presbyterian Church is to call and equip disciples to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through thought, word, and deed."
God is the supreme authority throughout the universe. God is the creator, redeemer and sustainer of all creation. God will do what God wants to do when God wants to do it.
Almighty God, who raised Jesus Christ from the dead and set him above all rule and authority, has given to him all power in heaven and on earth, not only in this age but also in the age to come. (Ephesians 1:20-21)
Our knowledge of God and God’s purpose for humanity comes from the Bible, particularly what is revealed in the New Testament through the life of Jesus Christ.
Our salvation (justification) through Jesus is God’s generous gift to us and not the result of our own accomplishments. (Ephesians 2:8)
The church is the body of Christ. (Colossians 1:18) Christ gives to the church all the gifts necessary to be his body. The church strives to demonstrate these gifts in its life as a community in the world (I Corinthians 12:27-28) It is a community of faith, hope, love and witness. It is everyone’s job — ministers and lay people alike — to share this Good News with the whole world.
